Employability UK Workshop
Some of our students had the opportunity to attend a workshop run by Employability UK yesterday.
Our students really were a credit to Aston Manor Academy and what was apparent is that they are confident, well-rounded young people.
In comparison to the other schools who attended, AMA students really stood out. We have been invited back on the 28th April with another group of students which is a testament to how well our 6th Formers conducted themselves.
The day focused on being confident to chase dreams even if fearful, being self-aware of body language, making a good first impression and how barriers in life are only temporary and our students took a lot from the day.
They were joined by Pride of Britain Award Winner Hezron Brown and many other speakers. All of whom were very inspiring and willing to give students advice and guidance which wthey hope to apply in their lives. Students were also offered the unique chance to attend/volunteer in both future employability UK sessions and to get involved in the commonwealth games.
A very worthwhile day!
