Year 12 students recently explored future careers, university options, and apprenticeship pathways at the UCAS Discovery Event held at the NEC Birmingham.

Having already begun researching courses and universities online, the event provided an excellent opportunity for students to speak directly with representatives from universities and employers. They were able to learn more about campus life, entry requirements, placement opportunities, and potential graduate careers.

Mr Preston, Assistant Headteacher and Post-16 Director, said:

“UCAS events help students to identify courses that align with their future career goals and encourage them to focus on their personal statements in preparation for submitting their UCAS applications in September.”

The visit formed an important part of students’ preparation for their post-18 choices, helping them make informed decisions about the next stage of their education and career journey.
