Aston Villa Football Academy 1st match report – vs WBA (League) Wednesday 19th May 2021

Aston Villa welcomed West Bromwich Albion in the league at Moor Lane. A strong team was out for the Villa, but with the pile up of games over the last few weeks a couple of players were struggling. Jack Richards in goal was struggling with a groin issue and had to come off in the first half.

West Brom had a completely different team out compared to the reverse fixture earlier in the season, they looked strong in the warm up.

First half was a tight affair, not many chances on goal for either team, lots of lost possession. A scrappy start to the game.
